Just a snippet of good news from this morning...
Chels was not only stable overnight but they managed to wean down and then turn off one of her blood pressure adrenaline drugs and she has remained stable with good blood pressure! YIPPEE a little step forward gives us huge encouragement.
Did I mention slightly decreased lived function yesterday? Well blood results show there has been an improvement there too and her good ol' liver is regenerating and fixing itself.
They are also going to try and take her off dialysis today and see if her kidneys kick back in.
All these little things are a good sign. Lets hope for another stable day today.
Kate

I have been thinking of you, Jeff, Chelsea & the girls a lot lately - we were very close to your area last week on our holiday - and hoping that things were going OK.
Pleased to hear that she is progressing. I will keep you all in our thoughts & prayers. Hope the big girls can see their little sister soon.

Kate I have been reading your blog for some time now, I am a fellow scrapper and fellow heart mum from brisbane. Sending lots of prayers for Chelsea , for the medico's caring for her and for you and your family. It's such a big thing dealing with the micro managed care in PICU and the constantly changing condition of your precious baby . Hang in there kate and as much as its hard , try and pace your self so you eat properly and get a little sleep, as its easy not to and you get run down. Prayers that Chelsea continues to make steps forward and that she will be home with her family as soon as possible. hugs joanne

Hi Kate,
I have been reading your blog for the longest time, keeping up lately with Chelsea's story and that of all your family. My heart truly goes out to you all, I am a nurse in Cardiothoracic ICU (for 'big' people) so I really understand the seriousness of what your baby has been going through. You have the most gorgeous family, truly you are blessed, your love for them shines through in all you beautiful work, which I adore even it is so different from my own scrapbooking. I hardly ever comment on anyone's blog's, preferring to just 'lurk' and observe, soak up inspiration and creativity, but your story has moved me so much that i feel the need to pass on all my good wishes and good vibes to you all. By the way, saw you on ACA tonight on their story on Nurses, couldn't believe it, my husband thought i was demented when i yelled out' hey i know her that is Kate Mason and Chelsea!' I then had to explain how i 'knew' you, ie. i don't really know you at all but feel like i do from following your story so closely over the last 8 months or so especially! This is a big long ramble, but i just basically want to say that you have touched my heart with your story and I hope that your little angel is fighting the good fight and making baby steps forward. She looked good on TV tonight, you too! Love to you all, hope you don't mind the big, messy comment, Louise Nakkan

Hope things are going well for you I also saw you ACA I also yelled out and said thats Kate Mason and my husband thought I was bonkers as well I don't know you either but have always read your blog.
Take Care
