For years & years I have been a collector of images. I'd buy magazine after magazine & cut out all the bits I like and toss the rest - unless they were art magazines then I keep them on my bookshelf.
My favourites over the years have most definitely been Country Style, Home Beautiful, Country Living, Real Living, House & Garden, Better Homes & Gardens, lots of other titles similar to that... my favourites to cut up & catalogue that is.
I have volumes of scrapbooks, just exercise books really, with picture after picture of all the things I would love to make, do & have in my future home...
Well turns out I am most definitely a dreamer and very few of those things actually feature in my home. Money, time, opportunity, space, kids, too many ideas... means much of the planning & dreaming hasn't & probably won't come to fruition.
But thats ok. I am a very visual person. A true Taurus. I love to be surrounded by beautiful things. Colour & stuff ignite my senses. So having them catalogued to browse through, that is almost as good.
So, do I still catalogue lots of lovely dreams & plans into scrapbooks?
No I do not.
I pin them!
Yes, I pin them into Pinterest.com.
Pinterest is an online cataloguing system useful for so many people. Lets say you are renovating a home or even just a room in your home, you could start a "board" for that room, or all the rooms and you then pin an idea or picture into that board. We all know how much info is available on the net, well this is one place where you can make a virtual scrapbook of all the things you like. Maybe craft is your thing, gift wrapping, fashion or even cooking.... Any imaginable hobby or interest you have, you can set up a board for it on Pinterest. Its brilliant.

Pinterest is on my iPhone and on my iPad so I can be waiting at school or sitting in bed at night pinning away... Its addictive & the pins add up quickly! Best thing is of course its all FREE!
