Last week wasn't fabulous for a multitude of reasons. I'll share a bit more later when I get to my computer & can write some more.
This week has been much better. Life is like that isn't it? Up one week, a bit down the next. And people within families can be all over the place. One doing great, some struggling, some just in the middle.
I got this fabulous email this week about a 90 year old woman & her thoughts on life etc. I might share it later. But anyway there is one thing that stood out and it was this....
If everyone threw all their problems into a pile & you got to see them all together, given the choice, most people would probably pull their own problems back out to deal with in preference to other peoples.
I have to agree.
When life is frustrating, people are frustrating, schedule is frustrating, and there are too many voices & opinions & judgements (especially from media in all it's forms).....
I think I'd rather be dealing with general hardwork & frustration than lets say.... Abuse, poverty, bankruptcy, homelessness & many more things too horrid for my imagination or understanding.
Yep, really all we/I, with little niggly things going on need to do is, ignore the noise, baby steps forward, simple solutions, enjoy & surround myself with those who matter to me & be grateful for all the positives.
I have a fabulous new book I want to share soon. I've been seeking out information on & trying to think about living a little more simply & trying to be more grateful. Enjoying simple things, building little blocks of time in my over-scheduled weeks to just be, just hang out, enjoy the moment, potter, read. And to be grateful for everything I have.
Today, I'm grateful for nicer weather so the kids can play outside & devour huge platters of fruit salad after school & kindy.
And little duck friends that visit my parents house each day.
What about you?
How are you doing today?
