And of course 'mummy' is and isn't a job. All the good bits aren't on the job description, just the crappy bits. I have/do both.
What is the worst job you have ever done?
For me it was market researcher. Although I found the job quite interesting and it was nice chatting to friendly people, some people can be SO rude. I worked this job as a 2nd job to help make ends meet [pay off credit cards, too much shopping] in my early 20's. I find that many people grumble about the general state of affairs, politics, healthcare, religion and finance.
Yet given the opportunity to feed into national research on those very subjects, its surprising how often I was told to 'go get f***ed!' Fabulous. What ever happened to 'no thank you' or 'sorry now is not a good time'. Its not as if I was phoning from the "national computer virus unit & that a virus has been detected on your computer" scammy place!
Please try to be nicer, our office was filled with people working a 2nd job or trying to put themselves through university. Ok, off my soapbox.
Have you ever had one of those brilliant dream jobs?
I'm living it right now. Primary carer of my children, part-time graphics & art making from home. Although its a very difficult thing to juggle. I have no help or relief so I can work. I have to fit it in the little cracks between caring for the kids. Its a challenge I tell you, but I wouldn't change it. Being able to do this is more important to me than any money I might make outside the home.
Were you ever fired?
The week before I turned 16, my supervisor at Target phoned to say I wasn't on the next roster. Hmmm, new 14 year olds recruits perhaps?
I got fired from the bakery at age 14 because I could not remember the names of all the cakes & buns. I think I lasted 2 or 3 shifts. Love my food but not really a cake or bun fancier.
What I found worse was having to do the firing. WORST. THING. EVER.
