I mentioned a few posts back that I was intent on spending more time doing arty things this year. Focussing on what truly makes me happy for myself, outside of all my family happiness [and craziness]. Well I have been sketching away like a woman possessed. Its been great. Its been a while since I've been inspired to do that. And I sketched so much I filled the last 33 pages of my visual diary in just the last fortnight AND have made a good start on my new one too!
I've been trying to find my visual voice. I have had things I've had to say in my art, and things to get out of my system but now I want to work on my style & make new things. I want to draw in all that is inspiring around me, seeking out little fashion trends, working on developing the personality & attitudes of my girls, and trying some new things too.
I signed up for a little eCourse to help me loosen up & get a little messy-er in my art making. So you might see some little arty experiments here on my blog coming up. I hope it will be a fun journey. I've got a heap of new little girls lined up with their cute outfits with fun hats & new hairstyles all ready to say hello.
I can't wait to get them all on canvas and see how they turn out.
And I have been aware of Illustration Friday for a long time but never ever submitted anything. But I may just have something to contribute this week. Lets hope I get time to resolve my drawing, at least digitally anyway.
Anyone seen my Wacom anywhere? I know its around here somewhere? Aaagh!!!
