Over the last few months I've been gathering a few supplies to make a simple & junky type travel album for our upcoming holiday. I love the idea of starting with something plain, adding a few interest points then scribbling away notes, memories, plans, details, slapping down a photo to capture the essence of the day & adding some bus tickets or a cafe napkin or something. That to me is what true scrapbooking is all about. So I set about starting my journal just like that.
I love Martha Stewarts Home Range at OfficeWorks & started with one of her plain ruled journals. I added Cavallini postal stickers & some Amy Tangerine papers, pockets & tags. I ramdomly stuck them throughout my journal leaving plenty of space to add notes while I'm away & a few snaps I'll get printed when I come home. I also added lots of 210gsm sheets of watercolour paper so that I can sketch & paint things around me on my travels.
I made a little Flipagram video so I could share it blank & ready to go. I can't wait to make another video to share it once I'm home and its filled with all sorts of memories.
By the way, have you used Flipagram? Its an awesome little program. I think I'll make a bucket load of these while I'm away to capture each day or maybe each place we visit. Such fun. And you can make them tiny to fit on Instagram too!
I also used an app called Picture Blur to blur the dates I had written out in my journal. Handy little app!
Hope you enjoy my little video!
